Sunny Sundays

It was lovely to wake up with glorious sunshine and that extra hour in bed. I was eager to head into town and go for a long walk. One of those days where you have no plans and just see where the wind takes you. It felt like ages since my last walk in Hyde Park so I got the train to Victoria. The only other agenda was lots of pitstops for teas and coffee. It was surprising warm today and felt good to be surrounded by all the beautiful colours of Autumn.

Today's adventure reminded me of a shoot I haven't shared with you yet. Last month I was lucky to head out of London to shoot with Tess Montgomery. It felt so good to get away and what a dreamy location. We were so lucky with the weather and timing. The light for the last look was dreamy. Here are a few images from that day.

Cheers To You

International Gin and Tonic Day, celebrated annually on October 19, is a tribute to one of the world’s most iconic cocktails. The drink traces its roots to the 19th century when British officers in India mixed gin with tonic water, which contained quinine, a substance used to prevent malaria. Over time, the bitter medicinal drink became a popular and refreshing cocktail.

Today, the G&T is loved for its simplicity and versatility, with countless variations and garnishes like lime, cucumber, and botanicals. International G&T Day is a chance to savour this classic drink and explore its diverse flavours. I have been loving this locally made Haymans citrus gin. Bursting with bright, vibrant flavour of sun-dried pomelo, Persian lime, mandarin and kumquat. I find tonic can react with my Menieres so I am having my gin with lemonade. Didn't want to miss out on the celebration.

Those who know me, know I love going to the theatre. A few years ago I decided to try and see a show every month, a tradition I try to continue each new year. This year I have felt very inspired by some of the shows I was lucky to attend. I still think about The Picture of Dorian Grey and the way they seamlessly used technology within the production. Recently , I was lucky to see Macbeth and loved the soundscape and use of headphones, very helpful for this hearing impaired girl. This sound technology created intimacy and while the actors whispered on stage it was as if it was just for you.  My last recommendation is White Rabbit Red Rabbit at Soho Place. This experimental piece has a new performer each night. Its writing felt so modern and thought provoking, I still cannot believe it was written 14 years ago. However, the fun part with this play it is each actor reads the script live each night, that's right no rehearsal. I am returning for a second night as I am sure it will be a fun and different emotional ride.

These and many more productions have helped with my creativity. Constantly analysing use of lighting and stage direction. So it is always a pleasure to combine my love of theatre with my love of photography. I realise I don't often share this work online so thought I would dedicate this post to some recent shows. Please do get in touch if you are looking for rehearsal shots, behind the scenes content, headshots and of course stills from your show. Use the "contact me" page, found on the left.

Jewellery photography is a delicate craft that requires attention to detail, precision, and creativity to bring out the beauty and allure of each piece. Unlike other forms of photography, jewellery shoots pose unique challenges—capturing the sparkle, intricate designs. Jewellery is often detailed, with tiny gemstones, delicate settings, and unique textures. I like to use a shallow depth of field to focus on the most important parts of the piece. It is a great way to draw the audiences's eye. It was great to catch up with Chiara and capture some candid shots of her recent go to pieces. She is  a master in layering and mixing metals for every day. Here are a few of my favourites.
