Wow what a week! First week of January has been super productive. I often think of this period as that free trial. Starting to implement new years resolutions or goals slowly as we come out of that post Christmas fog. I must apologise for my radio silence during this time. Like many, I was a little under the weather, and focused on finishing some projects before the festive period.
Last year I was inspired by Jessica Kaye to find a word for 2023. A theme for the year to help motivate me. Mine was balance, ironic seeing I surfer with vertigo and often lose my balance. I wanted to find a better work life relation and also prioritise my health. Work smarter not harder. I still haven't picked my word for 2024 but have narrowed it down for four. I will share once I have finally decided. In the meantime, I had a little recap of my work on Instagram which I will link below. I am looking forward to seeing what 2024 will bring. www.instagram.com/reel/C1hI7vTIyem/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

The week before last I shared some images of Julie from a recent evening test shoot. That gold dress caused a stir and we were interrupted a few times by the public. Anyway, we also shot this stunning black look with natural light. A very different feel to the other flash images. Which style do you prefer?
Most days I am looking at the weather app on my phone to see what I have to work with on a shoot. While it was a little grey last week, the sun decided to grace us with her presence. Such a fun afternoon shoot with Alex where we were able to warm up with an afternoon coffee and mince pie post shoot.
So I am taking my own advice from last week and have had a restful Sunday. However, on Saturday I caught up with Julie and had a quick test shoot. I still can not believe it was -2 degrees. Needless to say after I defrosted, I had an early night. Here's a few images that caught my eye.
