First of many self portrait attempts during self isolation. I am not sure if it is just me but I have been having some very strange dreams as well as vivid visual photographic ideas. Watch this space as I am not sure they will work but got to keep the creative juices flowing.
I had been wanting to take some self portraits which also demonstrate how I am feeling during this current time. While I absolutely love our flat, I wish we had a little garden. I constantly find myself starring out the window, literally watching the world go by, a favourite pastime usually spent in a cafe. People watching is the best. Anyway, I found 'the world' looks very different with a local feel and never ending lines to go shopping (I should add that I live opposite a supermarket). I wanted to explore this theme, feeling both removed and safe in my flat. For me if felt very strange to be the other side of the lens but also a good learning curve. After setting up my camera, I asked my trusty partner to capture these images as it required him to climb out on a roof. Communication is so crucial and happy to report no arguments took place during the shoot ;). Here are a few of my favourites images below. How are you feeling this Sunday? The sunshine has definitely lifted my mood.
