Another declaration

Please excuse another declaration of love. It has been some time since I have written about my addiction to coffee and after being spoilt with some lovely gifts decided it was time for a little photo shoot. Any excuse for a coffee...

I was given a Nespresso machine for Christmas two years ago and it has become a total life saver and favourite morning ritual.  I love my coffee and while London is starting to get serious about coffee it can often be a gamble finding the perfect cup. I am happy to admit I am a total coffee snob, I blame the Australian in me.

I decided to capture my morning routine. Trying to make my coffee habit as visually interesting as possible. I want to thank my friends for such beautiful gifts. Please take a look at what I captured below.

A new year, a new you. The start of the year is always so exciting, with new year resolutions freshly made, one can not help but be a little optimistic. For me 2014 is already turning out to be a busy year.

It was a beautiful crisp winters day this week when Lee and I braved the cold to capture some new acting headshots. It was a fun shoot and I am really happy with the results, far too many favourites.  Enough rambling, time to let the pictures do all the talking.

Coming on baby light my fire

I was lucky enough to be invited to a Poi training session just after Christmas. It was held in Leak Street tunnels under Waterloo. For me this was a lovely new discovery. London has so many little treasures and I found this space to have a lovely creative vibe. All the walls were covered in graffiti and with the hanging fluorescent lights had a wonderful gritty but beautiful atmosphere. It was an incredible space and I know I will definitely keep this in mind for future location shoots.

It was an open invitation for people to gets together to practice their skills and help each other. It was lovely to watch everyone do their own thing. It was such a supportive and welcoming group. A lovely way to spend an evening. I can not wait to go back and bring my tripod and other lens. It was a new challenge for me to try and capture their movement.

I have always loved fire twirling. It takes me back to Byron Bay, sitting on a beach watching a group dancing with fire. It really is a beautiful skill.

December madness

First of all I would like to take a moment and wish everyone a Happy New Year. I am feeling pretty optimistic about what 2014 will bring. I have learnt a great deal from 2013 and I am excited to put this in practice. I hope you have all recovered from your festivities. I must apologise as this blog is a week late. For me December turned into one busy crazy month.

Those of you who know we well know that Christmas can be a interesting time. I decided to give myself a challenge. I wanted to take 25 photographs of Christmas. I am sure if you follow me on twitter or facebook you will have noticed that I asked what Christmas meant to you.. I have tried to capture the essence of your responses.

I found Christmas meant many different things to everyone. I want to thank you all for your helpful replies. I had a wonderful Christmas and this exercise really helped get me in the mood. It reminded me of new and old little traditions. It really is the little things that make a difference and creates a special occasion. I really enjoyed this little project and hope you like the pictures below. I still dream of a white Christmas, maybe 2014 will be the year.

Christmas is ......
