So I have had a few wedding enquiries recently and as we were meant to get married this month (which like many couples has been rescheduled) have been thinking a lot about that big day. This year I have captured three inimate weddings and after everything we have all gone through it felt even more precious to celebrate love. Honestly, not a dry eye in the house. Me included. On my last job I brought my film camera to capture some candid moments. A little extra surprise for the couple as I personally love using film. Always a little nervous until you get the rushes back as you never know what you were able to capture. Thought I would share a few images with you this week as we try to finalise our plans.

Balance awareness week starts today , the 19th of September till the 25th. I thought I would use my platform to share information. I have borrowed these words from The Menieres Society who offer a range of support and information for people.
The aim of the week is to broaden understanding of vestibular (inner ear) disorders and how they affect people’s day to day lives. We’re often told by those affected that their family, friends and colleagues don’t understand what they are going through due to the hidden nature of this disability. Many people haven’t even heard of these conditions and we want to change that. As tomorrow is Blue Monday I thought I would share this blue image of Prince Jai Jai from a shoot earlier this year. So you may or may not have noticed that I did not post last week. I spent the weekend in Edinburgh and rather than posting a half-baked post I decided to miss a week. Sometimes a girl just needs some time off.
Anyway, you also might have noticed that I have finally updated my website and while I still have to add more images (a never ending job) it is so rewarding looking back at old work. As the weather gets colder I am reaching for those important layers and thought I would share some images I took for Theo + George. I fell in love with all their elegant pieces, such good quality and the cashmere was so soft and dreamy. I may or may not have a few items in my basket now that the weather has cooled down. Some of my favourite images are actually outtakes where my flash didn't fire. As I shoot in RAW I was able to create a moody edit which I love. Let me know your favourites and if you want a closer look at any of the pieces click here. |
