As life starts to slowly return to normal, I am beyond excited to start shooting again. As I prefer to shoot on prime lens, I have found that keeping the two meter distance between myself and my subject very easy. I have been fortunate to have a couple of local street style fashion photo shoots booked in and it has felt so good be working again. I am a self confessed workaholic, and love to be busy. So as you can imagine, it has been a little difficult for me as this has been the longest time frame I have been without work. While I have enjoyed having time to myself, it is hard not to feel a little useless.
I have however, been using this time to focus on my editing skills as well as making plans on where I want to see my work heading towards. I often find myself so focused on the now that I don't plan too far ahead. Does anyone else have this issue? So recently I had the pleasure of shooting with actress, dancer and all round beautiful lady Tanya Cumberland again. I have shared a few go my favourite images below. Summer time is all about wearing those beautiful dress and this Rixo number is perfect for all occasions. Just to remind you, Net-a-Porter currently has a sale on much of their Rixo range, although I'd hurry as many items are already low in stock.

Every week I treat myself to fresh flowers as it really brightens up the flat. As peonies season comes to an end these vibrant pink bunch caught my eye. As the flowers opened up I was surprised to see the colour change. Anyway, I thought I would share the iPhone images I took of the changing colour. I hope you all had a lovely week.
This week I am going to be borrowing the words of Spike Milligan. I read his poem on a friend's social media page and it stuck a cord with me.
Smiling Is Infectious by Spike Milligan Smiling is infectious you catch it like the flu, When someone smiles at me today, I started smiling too. I pass around the corner and someone saw my grin. When he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to him. I thought about that smile, then realised its worth. A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected. Lets start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected! So let me share some recent fun portrait images I took of Chris Rogers in my local park. As you can see by the end we got a few laughs and smiles by passing locals. I always make my photo shoot a fun environment and welcome all ideas. The crazier the better. As you can see, sometimes you just need some glitter and daisies in your beard to help spread that joy. So I have been staring at my screen for the last two hours trying to find the right words for a blog post. With everything going on in the world I find it hard to stay positive. For me at the moment, I am focusing on the small changes I can make which will help make a difference. So I have to ask are you a glass half full or half empty kind of person?
