So technically it is a day late but what can I say except I blame it on the long weekend. This week I wanted to share the latest images I took for Jai Jai Prince's song First Kiss on his debut EP. Jai and I have been shooting for a few years now and I love the creative freedom and trust that I am given. If you have worked with me before you will often hear me say, I've got an idea or can we try something out. My mind never stops and I always like trying something different. With this project it was these, more creative images that made the final cut. After fulfilling the beauty brief I wanted to try a different style. A more contrasting look which Jai preferred. Do you have a favourite?

So it has been an entertaining week with both video and still shoots as well as social activities. Lots of fun projects to keep me happily busy. I can not wait to share when everything is finished. I had a bit of travelling this week which was great to visit new places but man it does all add up and I am definitely feeling it this Sunday evening. Asking for a friend but when is it too early to call it a night?
So this week I thought I would share some images from a fairly recent shoot. I love playing with perspective and trying to create dynamic images. Obviously these were taken in the last few minutes once we had the money shot but I like to mix things up and offer some more playful options. So I didn't get through my to do list this week as I had a few last minute jobs. I feel like now more than ever it is so important to be flexible as plans change in a moment. So my original three day editing plan did not pan out but I am thoroughly enjoying looking back at work and seeing how my photography style has developed.
I started this week with a fun family shoot and catch up. Over the years I have had many people enquire about family shoots and I have always said I am happy to shoot natural portrait moments rather than a more stylised setting. I met up with Kalki and her family in our local park. We got rained on a few times but chalked it up to a proper London experience. Such a great way to start the week. I have previously written about the importance of test shoots and as I update my website (still working on this) I realised that it is important I start allocating time every month to do this. I have been working on a few ideas and as work starts to become more manageable I want to focus on pushing those creative boundaries. If you want to work with me, please make sure you follow me on Instagram and Facebook as I generally post details on these pages when I am looking for models and other creatives. As I was looking through some old hard drives I discovered these images I took of Kimberly from our very first test shooting in 2016. Always good to look back at old work and see how your style has developed.
