For those people who know me, it will comes as no surprise my fascination and love for black and white photography. What can I say, it can give a picture personality and an almost timeless quality. I personally find that this process can make certain pictures extraordinary. So while I was away I wanted to try and capture some beautiful black and white landscape images. Please take a look at my attempts below.

It is amazing how three days away can recharge the batteries. Well don't get me wrong, I am physically exhausted but refreshed. I surprised the boy with a trip to Barcelona for Christmas and finally it was time to escape and explore. I can see why the city has won so many tourist awards and we saw as much as we could in our limited time. I took my camera and 50mm lens as we were flying Ryan Air and you know what they can be like about luggage weight. Anyway, here are a few of my pictures below. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it is definitely one of my favourites. I really love cooking and try whenever possible to get creative in the kitchen. What can I say food makes me happy and I am a firm believer that when you eat good food you can really feel the benefits. I had a busy day today and needed a proper breakfast to keep me going. Nothing like some protein, scrambled eggs with a little parmesan cheese and slow roasted tomatoes to keep the energy levels high throughout a hectic day. What is your favourite breakfast? Continuing from my blog last week, I decided to to treat myself to the movies. I should have been packing for my next shoot in Kuwait but a showing of The Theory of Everything won. My boyfriend and I shared at 3pm screening at our local Picturehouse with another couple. Such a guilty pleasure while most people are still at work. The film is absolutely amazing and I can understand all the Oscar buzz. Just bring tissues ! |
