So I have been debating if I should write a personal piece for you this week and as much I like to hide my emotions I just can not shake this feeling. In a strange way today has been both difficult and full of joy. You see usually I would call my mum in Brisbane and wish her a happy UK Mother's Day but she passed away last year. We would both have a little laugh as it isn't the same day at home in Brisbane. However, it was always a good excuse to chat for an hour and really take the time to listen and get a proper update. Today I really missed my call but instead it got me thinking of all the incredible strong women in my life. My good friend's who are absolute superstar in my eyes raising their beautiful children. I also thought about some of my mum's friends who didn't have children but had a huge impact in my childhood and helped me become the person I am today. I am super grateful for all the love and support I receive and realise in many ways I have so many 'mum' role models in my life. I just really wanted to take a moment to thank everyone, especially those who adopt us into their family. I hope you all had a lovely day with you family. Here is a picture from my childhood which my aunty gave me last year. I just love everything about this picture. Yes that is me with my twin brother rocking some serious golden curls.

This week I thought I would share some content I shoot for the ever so lovely Alex from Rebel Waite. We had a glorious sunny shoot in the South Kensington area. The brief was simple. One classic white shirt worn three different ways. We picked the popular Olivia white silk shirt which can be found here. Below we demonstrate just how versatile this one wardrobe staple can be. Tucked into a skirt, worn buttoned up and out or tied with shorts, you really can not go wrong. Here are a few on my favourite images. What fashion staple item can you not live without?
As a photographer I am always on the look out for fun exciting spots to shoot in and I was super excited to finally shoot outside the BFI. Since it's make over I have been wanting to shoot as I just love the clean simple Cinema sign. To be honest, Southbank is always a fun location and offers a variety of shooting spots in the one area. Here are a few of my favourite pictures from a recent shoot with the stunning Maya from www.whatmayawears.com.
While I am sat on the sofa trying to string together some words for this blog post I wished I looked half as stunning as Tatiana. I took these images a few weeks ago with the wonderful team from All Things Hair. Anyway let me explain, you see it is a five minute walk from the tube station to my front door. However, after leaving the station (my timing was bloody perfect) I managed to get caught in a rather violent hail storm. Absolutely crazy situation. I could barely see in front of me and had to fight the wind to make it to my front door. With no real shelter the best often was to keep going but I swear it took me twice as long. So my productive plans for the evening have been transferred to tomorrow. I am "borrowing" my boyfriend's jumper and curling up on the sofa to watch a cheeky film and drink tea until I can feel my fingers and toes. While I look more like a drown rat, I thought it was a good opportunity to share some new work with you all. I hope you all had a good week and managed to stay dry this weekend!
