Kale, the new beef you say?

I am sure that I am not alone in having an iron deficiency. Unfortunately the thought of eating read meat three times a week does not appeal to me at all. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a good beef burger but that is my monthly treat. I am very much a vegetarian at heart.

I have been trying to incoroparate more iron rich foods in my diet and have had my eye on kale for awhile but felt a little intimated. After reading that kale is high in iron, among many other benefits I thought it was time to man up and give it a go.

I arrived home late and starving. Not the best way to go about trying a new dish but I was happily surprised at how quick and simple it was to stir fry garlic and chilli kale. I know, a simple dish to start me off. but I need food quickly. Trust me when I say I get grumpy when hungry. I was impressed at how tasty this foreign green substance was. I will definitely be experimenting with other recipes very soon. In total dinner took 8 minutes to cook which made me happy.

That wonderful wedding

So if you read my last blog you will have seen my road trip photos. Our destination was David Stout and Susannah Wapshott's wedding. As a guest I brought my camera and took a few pictures from the day. I didn't really know many people so was ready to use my camera as a little safety blanket. It was nice to capture some beautiful moments but everyone was so lovely that I soon put the camera away because we were there to celebrate, and boy do those kids know how to party!

The band was beyond amazing. Most of the guests danced the night away and when the venue shut we took the band with us to the local club as we were not ready for the night to end. Please take a look a few of my pictures below.

Road trip time

Nothing like a road trip to recharge the batteries and have a little break from London town. My boyfriend and I had a long weekend away in Oswestry for a friend's wedding. It was an incredibly beautiful celebration. Those people really do know how to party, however that is another story. Before returning back home, we had a little detour. Take a look at our little adventure. Nothing like a change of scenery to make you feel like a big kid!

Food for thought

It has been another busy week here. Trust me, I always prefer to be busy but as I have been ill it has really exhausted me. I have not been as productive as I wanted. I must apologise as this blog is more of a little insight of where I am going. I have been developing new business plans and trying to find my niche.

I honestly love picking up my camera and am not too picky about what I capture. I love exploring, learning and experimenting but that really is too broad. I know composition is my soft spot, either it is creating a balanced image or a unique perspective. It gets my heart racing when you create that perfect picture. Add a narrow depth of field and I am grinning from ear to ear.

Portrait photography is my passion. Creating a unique and personal image to portray a character is a challenge I enjoy. Nothing beats the satisfaction I feel when creating a beautiful image. Some shoots have been super creative while other are more simple. As a listener I pride myself in bringing your ideas to life using still or moving photography.
