So I have been struggling to find a good camera repair shop for my old 35mm Canon point and shoot camera I had as a child. Even holding this camera brought back so many memories especially as it has a kid plaster to hold the batteries in place as it had been dropped one too many times. I was heart broken to open the camera to find that the film and not rewound (even though is sounded like it had) and I had ruined whatever was on that film. That roll of film might have been in that camera for over fifteen years so maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
I did however, get my hands on a second hand camera and ordered some film from Amazon as they had some good deals on for multiple packs. Fingers crossed this camera did in fact work as the only way to check is to shoot a test roll. I excitedly put the film in and took it to some of my shoots I had planned for the week. Surprisingly it took me longer than I thought it would to shoot 36 images. I guess it is just ingrained into me to shoot thoughtfully. Also the fact that I am absolutely hopeless at grabbing behind the scenes images and I probably only remembered to dig out and use my new film camera for half of the shoots I had on that week. So I also messaged around with some selfies and bunny pictures because you can never have enough. Thought i would share some of the results and mention that I am happy to shoot content for you on film too. Just let me know at least five days before the shoot date so I have plenty of time to order the film.
